My Background experience & interests Welcome! My name is Paula Parrish, The Graphic Artist. Thanks for stopping by to
learn more about my interests and background. Graphic design and illustration are my passion and the continual
changes in the field bring me new challenges that keep my passion alive. I have a strong desire to continue
my career in advertising. I take great pride in helping businesses improve their image and marketing their
products and services. I would sincerely appreciate your consideration of my background and experience. I believe
that my design work on this site showcases my strength in graphic design. I have developed expertise with several software
programs on windows based platforms. Although my experience began with manual design, drawing and illustration; it has
grown to include the realm of electronic design. As a young
child my love for drawing, painting and creativity enriched my life. In my childhood I often envisioned caring that
devotion into the work force. Inspired by
the creativity and talent of my father’s work in his sign business, in 1981, I began working part time in our family
business, Parrish Signs. My employment experience ranged from design, hand lettering, sales, office management, signs
and vehicle lettering. In, 1989 I
moved to Florida started my own company, Sign Expression. Utilizing my talents and knowledge, as well as facing challenges
as opportunities my company expanded. My husband and I raised two children, our son Happy, now 25 years
of age and attending Ringling School Of Art & Design in Sarasota, Florida. And our daughter Randie, now 23
years of age a grad from Venice High School class of 2005. I enjoyed playing, living and working on the east coast
of Florida for 11 years. In, 2002 we
relocated to west coast of Florida with my husband Chad, Happy, Randie and newest edition to the family
Destiny now 8 years of age. For the past five years I've offered my services as a graphic designer.
I started, The Graphic Artist. In my free time I
enjoy bible study, scrapbooking, walking on the beach, family time and friends.
